Patti Appleby was our speaker. The Lord touched our hearts through her words. Our scripture for the retreat was Proverbs 23:23a: "Buy the truth and sell it not". She used m
any items to teach us including Dum-Dum suckers and Smartie candies. From those examples you can surmise that she urged us to be wise and not foolish women.A few of us walked to Haystack Rock at 5:30 AM on Saturday. That was some great walking and fellowship time.
Another example Mrs. Appleby used was building up and plucking apart our homes. Carolyn and Jodi got busy and built this lovely Lincoln Log house.
Charlotte sang for us Saturday morning.
The conference center food was deeeeeelicious and we had our share of eating some wonderful cuisine. The games were fun and
the fellowship sweet. What more could we ask for?We look forward to our next retreat.
