This Sunday is Resurrection Sunday! That's right, Easter 2012 is only one day away! There's no other day like it for God's people. Jesus is alive! I trust that you will plan to attend -- Sunday School at 10 and Worship at 11.
In chapel at Ocean Breeze Baptist School today I brought a message to the students entitled "What Easter Means To Me." I brought out these three exciting points:
1) It means that God was pleased with Jesus' payment for sin! (I Cor. 15:15)
2) It means that God will not let death win! (I Corinthians 15:26, 54-56)
3) It means there is power enough in the gospel to save anyone and everyone! (I Corinthians 15:23)
I hope you will meditate on these points for the next day or two. Your heart will be blessed as mine has been.
We ought to take the opportunity that Easter Sunday offers us to invite as many people to church as possible! Folks who will not darken the door of the church on any other Sunday will often go to church on Easter, especially if invited by a friend or family member. Please be in prayer that the Lord's name will be honored and His cause furthered in our services on Sunday. By God's grace I will see you then...
